How do I choose a pendant light?

Pendant lights are designed specifically to hang from the ceiling of your home, and come in a range of styles, colours and materials. Whether you’re after something subtle or statement, it’s all personal preference! However, choose a style that’s functional and fits the aesthetic of your specific room, since they are a decorative piece.

How do I choose the right size pendant light?

You’ll need to accurately measure the space and length of the room to find the right fit. Begin by noting the room’s height, length and width. The hanging length or height of the fixture is just as important as the size. Ideally, you’ll want the space between each pendant to be the same size as the width or diameter of each lighting fixture.

How do I choose kitchen pendant lights?

This depends on where you plan on hanging your pendant lights in the kitchen. Note that if the light fixture has a prominent presence in the room (e.g. above your counter), be sure to select a style that works with your chosen decor. Ideally at their lowest point, kitchen pendant lights are hung about 32-36 inches (81-91cm) above the counter, but you’ll need to take a total measurement from the floor to the fixture.

How wide should a pendant light be?

This all completely depends on the size of the length and width of the room that you’re adding pendant lights to. However, we recommend adding the Start with the length and width of your room in feet, add them together! So, if your room is 9 feet by 10 feet, then your pendant should be around 500 centimeters in diameter.
